Basically it allowed you to setup an alert that would notify you (if you had the Sirius radio on) of a certain song. For example, if you entered the song 'Help' by the Beatles and you were listening to any station on Sirius, when the song Help by the Beatles was being played, the alert sent you an on screen message that your song is now being played on (and it would indicate the station on Sirius). From there you could either ignore the alert or hit select/play and the radio would change to that station.
