Embedded player for Broadcasters website.
We occasionally get this request. Although I understand that it is mainly a licensing issue for the website that desires an embedded player - we have had broadcasters indicate they are willing to play a premium for this functionality,

RichI think if the amount was reasonable, many broadcasters with websites would like to add this function. More appearance and color options as well.

John(Part 1) I really like the idea of an embeddable player, so I upvoted this suggestion. But if this is ever implemented, I hope it gets a bit of a facelift from what I am seeing in the attached image sample. I don't mind at all the LIVE365 logo at the top...I even advertise - both in a national magazine publication and on my station's website - that we are a proud member of the LIVE365 radio network, and I use the logo artwork provided to me by LIVE365. But...see part 2.

John(Part 2) My only hesitation is links to "More Stations" and "Start Your Station." On my website, I want MY station to be exclusive. My station is not LIVE365. It's a unique station on the LIVE365 network. The "Start Your Station" kind of diminishes the commercial/professional appeal of my station. Might be okay for free broadcaster accounts, but not for paying broadcasters.

StephenI agree with both Rich & John. If the price is reasonable I'd embed the player on my website. I'm in total agreement with John Part 2.

EssincePlease! I'd love this. Or include the logo on basic pacakages and you can pay extra to remove the Live365? I don't care if it's there or not I just want people to be able listen from MY website without popups and having go somewhere else!

JeffAllow CSS overrides on the player from the player-hosting web site. There are many different ways to use an embedded player, and one size, layout ratio, color scheme, etc, does not work well. Customization is a must.
We only use our own content, so licensing is not an issue. Payment for a player due to licensing issues wouldn't excite us very much. -

Kasey anasaziI miss the old embedded player it was very convenient. And the most important part was it did not redirect people away from the station website, and u could embed it everywhere ,on different sites, pages, groups which brought people to your station ,and not confused is it live 365 oris it said station. I very been asking for this since they came back

LanceWhat would be the diff between this and a widget?

Dennis MergedIt would be nice to have a music player that can be integrated on our website as an alternative to the pop out player, similar to iHeart or this one: http://stickyfullwidth.audioplayerhtml5.com/with-artist-image/

Tom Michaes (Program Director Power 96 One)We had this ability with a different provider. They provided a page hosting space but all images and information would iFrame back to a identical page you setup on your website. The player launched from within their domain and used our player of choice not necessarily their widget. but it had our branding. This was very flexible and had the broadcaster's image in mind.

JoelThis forum has a topic that is paramount to my website. Where I understand the limitations due to mandates coming from the license governing entities, surely there must be some sort of compromise that allows a business to run as intended with a simple embedded player.
I truly hope that something is in the works. It seems ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SOCAN, and SoundExchange are killing the market for internet radio - do they not understand that passionate radio stations are a win-win for everyone?? -

JoelI hope this is still on the roadmap for Live365, as this is a deal breaker for some of us that are running our own websites.

frankThe current “pop out” player needs to be improved. Make it embedded, let us adjust the colors with a CSS stylesheet. I’m still foggy as to why it’s a requirement to use the Live365 player, but it’s ok to use TuneIn, Alexa, Google Home, iTunes, etc to listen to your station.

RobinThat is the very reason I have not got on board with Live 365 yet as we need to be able to integrate into our existing site. We need request options as well

MattWhile I agree with almost all of this, especially John Part 2, I think a pop-out player is absolutely necessary. I use WordPress for my sites, and if I embed a player in the widget area, or anywhere actually, it will be refreshed if someone clicks on any link to go to any other page, thus interrupting the stream. I don't want the stream to be interrupted, obviously. A pop-out player would be beneficial for that. Of course, the ability to change the look and feel of it would also be necessary.
Also, I'm 100% with Robin. No request feature? Live 365 has been around forever now. Why is there no request feature yet? -
