FTP uploads
It would be nice to upload media files via FTP using an FTP client such as Filezilla or Cyberduck

JeffThis would be a great way to update files with the same name easily. Example: weather.mp3 gets updates a few times a day. Instead of deleting and readding the same filename, overwrite the file via ftp upload.

Eldon Diaz-HendersonHaving FTP could greatly increase the speed of setting up a new station. Currently, the speeds of uploading over the web interface seem terribly slow. Also, having the ability to overwrite existing files with the same name would help immensely in managing syndicated programming. Overwriting existing files in the web interface does not seem to be allowed, as one is presented with the info: "File already exists in the playlist."

JackI agree wholeheartedly. Uploading virtual DJ tracks, weather, news... So much easier and expedient using FTP.

JackI am moving to Live365 from another provider and to be honest, this is becoming an issue because we have FTP as an ability now, and for our syndicated shows, FTP is the bomb! It makes it so easy to replace files with the same name and not have to go through the hassle of uploading a file through your web-based drag-and-wait tool that times out...(yes, it does)...then finding the files through a web browser, where you cannot search for an untagged file...then tagging the file...

JackI want this so bad... with FTP, I would be able to automate so much more in my station. I do realize that I would have to edit the multi tracks by hand still because of licensing and such, but for the day to day virtual DJs, news, weather, etc.

JamesHaving the ability to use ftp to upload items would be a huge benefit. All of Live365 competitors have this option. It would make life so much easier

Jaden MPlease consider implementing the FTP Protocol for all Live365 Stations to be able to easily access any Audio Imported into our Station Servers. It is very important that us as Broadcasters have the ability to be flexible with Audio Files. Which could also mean taking audio files and doing things with them.

Roger Barkley JrI have to agree. Even if it is a problem that files have to go in a file type selection. If in the FTP with a folder with said file types. As Jack said, switching over from another station server is a monumentally time-consuming endeavor. When getting the latest Comps in every month it would speed the station mgr job as well - the VM that I thought was gonna do this does not even load to the actual station. I can see where it may be beneficial but that was the main selling point for us to utilize FTP.
