"weighting" a track in AutoDj
i'd like to be able to tag the media as something like: low rotation; medium rotation; high rotation. the end goal would be i want a "classic" rock song not played so much but new rock we're focusing on played a few times a day or up to a given amount. i can make playlists to accomplish this but it could be a good feature for autodj as well if not too difficult to implement.
As in, if you auto-DJ, you can select specific tracks- tracks that have very recently been released for example, to be put in rotation more frequently. It would give you the ability to keep your rotation 'fresh' if your library is fairly large and spans eras, without you specifically having to schedule it every time you wanted increased eyes/ears on a track.

Trevon MergedThis star rating would help Auto DJ know which songs to play more often than not, giving people with multiple genre stations an easier way to manage current tracks. These ratings could also be selected per category for each song. For example, if a song has more than one category, the first could have a 5 star rating, while another would have 2 stars. I picture this rating in a dropdown menue, which displays a rating choice for each category the track has.

GreggI too am getting songs that are playing too often. It's strange when you have 400 tracks in a category and the system decides to play one that it just played 2 hours ago again. I would appreciate having a track weight feature.

Mike Smith MergedIt would be nice if tracks had a feature to set a skip frequency to allow less rotation in the random selection. For example, Song 1 through Song 10 all have the same change of playing random, but this new feature would allow "x" number of times to skip before the Song is randomly played again. Song 3 may have the "Skip" value of 3, so it would play on the 4th time it was randomly selected.
The reason for this is some songs that I like to have in rotation do no deserve the same rotation "weight" as other songs. -

Ed Ramsay MergedDoes Live 365 provide a list of what has been played on audio DJ? Specifically, a list of how many times each individual song has been played on a given day? Sometimes we find that we hear the same song many times more than those that seem to be buried in our library of songs. We have adjusted the track mix to 240 minutes, however we still hear the same content more than others. If we could get a frequency list of our content on Auto DJ, we could adjust our programming so it remains fresh. Thank you.

Jacob Sheppard MergedI'm forced to use auto dj most the time, and I've noticed that it often will repeatedly select certain songs from albums again and again while ignoring all the rest. to address this, and also to improve my stations music, a simple and easy fix would be attach a limiter entry for each song. say a certain song is okay, but you don't want it played several times a day or week. have a limiter on each song , that says do you want to limit this song played in a day or week. or even time of day. maybe at night it can be played to gear toward a different style. This would really help the quality of songs played on my station. without it, too many avererage songs are played too much over and over

Kory Davis MergedWe play 70’ & 80’s music and it’s all over the place. We need a better way to control the mix. Right now the system will go from a hard rock song to disco which doesn’t sound good. It would be nice to have like a jingle or something between different song groups. I’ve noticed a lot of songs playing back to back that don’t mix well.
