Playlist - Batch edit multiple tracks at once (add or delete) & allow to edit Album Art in bulk
Updated 2-26-25 to clarify that this Request is two parts -
1. Allow to bulk edit Album Art in batch on the Tracks page. All other elements can be bulk edited at this time.
2. Allow the same functionality of Tracks page to the Tracks on the Playlist page. This would include bulk adding/deleting Tracks on the Playlist page specifically. Add checkbox functionality so it matches the Tracks page.

A way to edit multiple tracks at once, such as an album with the same name, or artist etc, instead of having to do each track individually. This would include batch updating of album art which is not currently a function.
This would include adding multiple tracks at once to a playlist.
This would include a setting for 'Selecting All' instead of only 30 at a time

Progressive Rock AZUSA MergedI would like to be able to create a new playlist by selecting a tag(s); the new playlist would then be populated by the tracks associated with the tag. Now I have to select the tracks individually. Clockwheels partially addressed this, but I would like to have the option of total control over constructing my playlists.

SakeBitoAnother feature that would be great to have, especially for people who suck at typing (I've also got nerve damage and a couple of numb-ish fingers, which makes typos a close "friend" that's constantly with me.) Also it's a bit of a pain to do repeat CD art uploads if you're uploading x number of tunes from the same album. But I'd classify this one as "nice to have, but not essential."

SakeBito at Amanogawa Express MergedUnless I'm doing something bonehead-wrong (which is not only possible but probable,) it would be a big help if we didn't have to first upload the song, then after waiting for the green "Saving track" bar to scoot across at the upper right, having to click "Edit" and do the cover art upload as a separate, manual operation.
This is particularly annoying if you upload multiple tracks: Once the "Save" process is done, you have to scroll down and change the "per page" max to something greater than your total, just to get all of the just-uploaded tracks to show up at the top of the track list, and *then* you can do the cover uploads.
Having an uploaded cover automatically add itself to all other songs from the same album (if you've uploaded more than one,) would be a time-saver too. That was a feature of the pre-2016 Live365 - not only that, but covers were retained and added automatically even if you'd removed everything from that album for a time. -

Stephen McLeod Mergedthe ability to either add a whole category to a playlist, as this will help with compliance. if this is not possible the alternative if that when adding tracks to a playlist the once added this should not be displayed in the tracks available to add section. in effect only showing tracks that are available to add and not already in the playlist. also the ability to batch delete playlists would be helpful

DJ WhatsHisName? MergedWhen bulk deleting tracks, display the list of selected tracks to be deleted so I can see what I am deleting. This way I can see and confirm the batch of tracks before I delete them.

I'm wondering if there would be a possibility of adding thumbnails (album art) to bulk actions?
I noticed there's a new default sizing tool that makes you define the size of each album art file individually. Instead of making things easier, it seems to be adding an extra step as I have to upload the same album art 8-9 times for every file when loading new episodes of my podcast. Each time resizing the same album art file over and over. A Bulk action for this process would really simplify things.

John MergedOur station is half teaching-half talk. All those custom talk programs get uploaded with no album art and our sound mixing tool doesn't offer album art for the metadata. To look professional I'll be manually adding a thumbnail to over 1,000 tracks one-by-one this next week. As you can see, doing this in bulk would be a GREAT help...

Steve Fama MergedPlease give us a way to Remove/Delete all tracks. With I have worked hard in fixing the Metadata, Cover Art, Sound quality, spelling, etc. I need to delete all and replace them. I also need to delete all at this time of year and add my Christmas Music then remove it again and replace it with regular music again.

Wilcox Merged-If I need to delete a track, the system requires me to delete it from any playlists that it is in first. I want to delete globally no matter what.
-If the track is already scheduled as part of an event display a notification indicating which event it's in.
-If the track is part of a playlist remove it from the playlist and provide the name of the playlist that has been edited as a result of the deletion. -

Marconi Bologna MergedI upload 100 + talk break files to my stream each week. I can easily change and edit the metadata but have to individually upload the same thumbnail to each individual track. A task that could take minutes ends up taking over an hour to complete. I dread uploading each week because of this. I would love to have the ability to save thumbnails or at least bulk upload them to multiple files all at once.

Marconi Bologna MergedI can bulk upload 100 files of my podcast to rotate on my stream. I can easily bulk label them all but have to go to each file to individually upload the same thumbnail 100 x. Bulk uploading the thumbnail would be incredibly easy and would save so much time.

Radio Jammor MergedI completely support this idea. I have tagged and categorised all my uploads and now find that in order to create a playlist, I have to add items one at a time, which fails to fully utilise either my categories or tags.
What what would be far better and far quicker would be for me to be able to quickly create playlists for shows, by being able to add an entire category to a playlist, random sort it for compliance, and then be able to quickly remove all other tracks beyond the timeframe I want it to fit.
This way it is a truly random selection, from an entire category, set-up to mirror what I want to play and when; e.g. all 70s tracks for an hour, which have already been tagged/categorised as such. Put them all into a playlist, sort them, then just use the ones that fill 60 mins, by removing the excess music, or alternatively by being able to select & keep just the first 60 mins, which then effectively removes the excess. -

Jorge MergedThanks to this suggestion I was able to understand, why I couldn't delete my tracks. I've spent at least 2 hours trying to locate the track on the different playlist and I cannot find it, hence it cannot be deleted.

Jaden M MergedAs a PD, sometimes you may need to upload tracks that you are not going to use for a while. Almost like having a rest category in a music scheduler or having a Christmas Playlist. At this time, you can batch edit types of tracks, categories and metadata. But not the Status of the track. I would love to see an update for Broadcast 2 subscribers that can Batch update the status as they please instead of manually going in and turning off each track.
